Our Guys are just 4 weeks old. Blue and Black Bantam Cochins. They're at that bad hair day stage where they are half feathers, half peach fuzz... We have 6. They clearly were outgrowing their dog carrier brooder so today we moved them UPTOWN into their new digs. A Chicken Hutch... I got them setup with some shavings in the back (first time they have seen THOSE) and a flat area up front. Their heat lamp on one side and a water dish and food on the other. Their little 2 x 4 ramp to the roosting pole - they love to perch so once they figure that out they'll be singing for sure...
