I have 2 hens and one is broody and will be sitting on eggs once they get delivered.. in the meantime the one that is not broody pushes her and goes under her, on top of her, etc. everytime she wants to lay an egg... then at night she doesn’t seem to want to sleep by herself so she sleeps inside the nest with the broody and I kinda shove her out of the nest before I got to bed.
I can’t separate the hens. There is two nests but they only use one. Will the other hen disturb the soon to come eggs or end up breaking them? Is there anything I can do? The coop is too small to place a boarder for blocking the non broody.

thank you

I would try to make the 2 nests into a larger One communal nest. This way, your laying hen can crowd in, and sit side by side. I would mark the eggs that will come in to be incubated. Every time your laying hen adds one, remove, and eat.
Your non broody hen may become broody shortly. You would have both raising your chicks.
You must understand that your non broody wants companionship regardless if she has to stay in nestbox. She just does not want to be on roost alone. :(
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,:highfive:
