Hard molt or something else?

Thats a really bad molt. I feed a meat protein before molting season, its hard to play catch up changing the diet after the fact. High grain/soy proteins in todays feed dont have the same impact on feather growth in my opinion. My hens will never win a molt contest and Im good with that!

Ive been feeding a good bit of protein before the molt. I had actually been concerned i was giving too many mealworms, eggs...but the molt was pretty bad anyway. Luckily, she looks much better! Ill go take a pic tomorrow and attach it. Gave cat food and sausage and eggs this morning.
