Hard water and the nipple watering system

Do not expect that concentration of anything kinown as vinegar to do much to the chemestry of the water.
Hard water really isn't a problem if the nipples are not allowed to drip and cause mineral buildup where the water has opportunities to evaporate.

Not sure about everyone elses hard water, but here in West Texas, the water will eat up a water heater element in no time. Been using the nipples for about 6 months now and no problems what so ever. Now in the winter time, they did tend to freeze up a bit, but I just put some warm water in there in the AM and it was fine. I give them fresh water every other day and spray out the bottom of the 5 gallon bucket. No build-up and no stopped up nipples either.
