Hard wire cloth question

We are currently building our coop and are planning to put down weed barrier and gravel around our coop and run. Is this sufficient to keep predators out or should hard wire cloth be buried under the weed barrier and gravel?

You need the hardware cloth or wire fencing under the weed barrier.

Agree with @DobieLover. Put the hardware cloth under those layers to prevent digging. 12-18” should work

Your birds will likely dig up that weed barrier, and they will eat weeds anyway. Leave out that step!
