Hello! My rooster was sick about 8 days ago. I do believe he has a history of Coryza. He had a runny nose with thick smelling drainage along with weakness and unbalanced. He is still walking, but wobbly.
He completed 5 oral doses of Liquamycin, the drainage stopped after first or second dose. Unsteadiness has continued. I’ve also been giving him nutradrench directly in the mouth. I looked at his ears when the unsteadiness first started, thinking it could be an ear infection, they were clear. And earlobes looked fine then. Ears are still clear today, but now his earlobes are hardened and almost looks like rug burn on them. Also I’ve noticed these spots on the back of his neck. He’s eating and drinking fine, pooping fine, still crowing and trying to carry on with his daily activities, in the garage. I separated him as soon as I seen the runny nose. Everything seems to be normal besides his unsteadiness and this earlobe and skin issue.
Do you think this could be an allergic reaction or something more serious? Is he scratching?

I’m at a loss, have found nothing online.

Do you think there’s a chance that he could’ve gotten injured on something? Or maybe getting bullied?

No. He’s been by himself for almost 2 weeks now. I’m thinking maybe he’s itching? But no bugs or mites at all! And the rest of his skin is just fine

Huh. Is there anything that he could be rubbing up against at all? Unless you have some sort of burning heat source, I’m not very sure, but you can try treating it as an injury of some sorts with Neosporin (without pain relief as it is toxic to birds) or Vetericyn Plus Spray.

Thank you all for replying! After spending some one on one time with him today I’ve come to realize that he most likely has an inner ear infection! His outer ear is completely clean. He is scratching both sides of his head like crazy! I gave him a really good back and cleaned him up. He’s been scratching so bad he’s made himself bleed.
So now with that being said. Anyone know where I can get him some amoxicillin?
