Hardware cloth prices

I'm not really sure that these solid panels will protect against predators digging underneath (for that I still think you need some kind of apron or skirt), but they certainly prevent "reach through" predation. And panels are also good to use in between pens to prevent birds from pecking at each other through the wire (roosters, for example).

I've seen prices in different ranges. I was looking for prices on 6 foot and wow what a shock. So I did a little investigating(sp). I found 1/2"
6 foot tall by 150 poultry wire for $80.00 dollars a roll. Would still like the hardware cloth though. I have prices coming on that but it is from a over seas supplier and you have to order 100 or 200 rolls.

I use so much hardware cloth that if I actually knew how much it cost I would probably get sick. I use it for a lot of different things though, not just for the chickens. Like on the bottoms of my raised garden beds to keep gophers out, attic vents to keep EVERYTHING out, over large box planters that I grow greens in to keep birds out, I make storage bins for my barn junk to keep mice out, etc. etc. Sheesh if I looked around here I probably have a fortune in hardware cloth scattered around on different projects.
