Is this the right type of hardwire cloth to get?

I also notice there are 19 gauge and 23 gauge type of wire. Which one should I get?

Husband finished the frame, but I need to get the wire for the cage. It's going to be an on ground cage/aviary. Any advise on the type of hardwire cloth would be appreciated

References wire thickness. lower the gauge thicker the wire like house hold wiring 18 gauge wire is for telephone wall jacks quite thin. Electrical service wires or most often 02 gauge lol almost 1/2 thick. Don t think we need that for chickens..

Typically, the larger-gauged hardware cloth turns out to be the one with bigger holes. What you've linked up there looks just right. Gotta recommend checking out Amazon for deals; the cloth there can be cheaper in quality, but often at half-price of what you'll find in stores.

Thank you for the replies/feedback. Will definitely purchase through Amazon now. I've got plenty of time as once I get the wire on, I want to plant some grass and plants inside the cage as well.

Staples work just fine for fastening HWC, but 16 gauge 1/2"X1" welded wire is a much better option than HWC, IMO. In fact, I have absolutely no HWC on my coop or run.
