Hello,
I need help figuring out if one of my Pekin females has frostbite or bumblefoot? How would you tell the difference. I have one that couldn't bear weight so I brought her in the house and put her in the tub with tepid water and let her soak and play around. I did put Neosporin on it and wrapped it for a couple days. I took off the wrap and she has a black scab on one of the pads of her foot/heel. My concern was the swelling noted above the heel and I noticed more black spots on her legs?
Today I went out and I noticed the scab was loose on one end so I gently lifted it up to see and it came off with no blood noted. I put Neosporin on it and a home remedy on the web. I have kept her inside the barn/pen for about 4 days now. The other two females have small black spots on the bottom of their web/foot but nothing like Harleys. I heard about bumblefoot and looked at pics and it looks like that too. I am trying to add pics but not sure if it will work or not. Any suggestions?
