Harnesses For Dogs?

I dont think my parents would be very happy about an electric fence.

I have a sibling whos very young, and would most likely end

up hurting himself on it.

I know it's better than it *was*, but I'm not seeing "she's totally fine" when you tell us that "even with walks daily she has to run tied out for about an hour to be calm when she comes inside<snip> she bolts and then gets jerked back"

It didn't occur to me that a dog would litterally jump into an electric fence at fullspeed....but come to think of it, mine would.
and yeah with little siblings electric fence certainly wouldn't be a good idea.

Anyhow.....
I'm glad to read that training her has made her improve! That is awesome.

I still don't know if a harness would work to tying her out...but you could try spraying Bitter apple all over it....hmmm...

I hope you can get something worked out for her

I walk her, then tie her out for a little while. When she comes inside shes totally calm,

and goes straight over to get a drink then lays down and naps. Whats not 'totally fine' about

that?

I figured I was doing good. And she bolts on her tie out. If her toy goes to far, she runs

at it, then gets jerked back. I say "stop!" and she stops, but normally I tie her out because I have

somthing to do INSIDE and can't watch her, which means if she bolts, I'm not there to say 'Stop!'.

PuppyBantamCochin- She is doing so much better

She doesn't nip anymore, she doesn't slam into

things anymore, very VERY rarely jumps on me.

And follows her commands just about anywhere now.
