So i plan to start incubating sometime soon and the only incubator my local stores cary that seem decent is the Harris Farm Nurture Right 360. I have seen decent reviews all over so i will be picking that one up. My question is has anyone used this and what temperature and humidity does it need to be sat on? I ask because i have read these factors vary depending on which incubator is used. Thanks

Yes, it's a great incubator :) I have one and love it. On mine the digital display for temperature and humidity are accurate, so I can set them to what they're supposed to be, which is 99.5 for temp and for me about 30% humidity works best. You'll want to calibrate yours with a thermometer you know to be accurate to be sure yours is accurate too before setting the temp.

I will purchase a thermometer as well to make sure its correct. Thanks

Which thermometer and hydrometer do you use?

I have one but don't really like it.
Pros: Easy to set up, holds temps and humidity. Great viewing area. Built-in candler which is ok but I don't use it.
Cons: Lid isn't easy to open and close. For me, I hatch pheasants, the turner tray doesn't really work for pheasant eggs. Slots are too big for smaller than chicken eggs. I got poor development of the embryos...I think because the tray rotated too far for pheasant eggs, kept turning the egg to same place.
The turner motor went out after 1 week of operation. Called the mfg. Got a replacement.
Some peeps had problems with chicks getting caught in the fan, I didn't. They have a screen to cover the fan unit, now.

Their mfg reps and customer service is good.
I ran mine at 99.5°F and 43% humidity

Thank you! I have heard of some stopping after short use so i want run it for a bit before actually placing eggs. I am now kind of concerned the slots might be too big for my little silkie eggs? I do plan on ordering a screen for it because i have read a lot about chicks getting into the fan and getting hurt.

I don't know if they have a different turning wheel? It seems I read it somewhere that they do but then again it may have been wishful thinking. :lau

I use both an aquarium thermometer that I've found to be exactly accurate, and also a digital reptile thermometer, which I know from calibration is .5 off, so I take that into account when using it.
thats what i was looking into. also another question. Do you disinfect between batched? if so what do you use?
