Harris Farms EZ Fill 5 gal waterer

It's just a shame that this design is so convenient for us, with the big open top, yet they won't get their **** together and make them better. They HAVE to know that those floats take on water, why would they not start sealing them?

I still haven't heard back from Manna Pro, I emailed them two nights ago after fighting with the dang thing into the dark and finally giving up.

I have the green lid one and had the same leak issue. They sent me a new float and I still have the same issue of leaking. Totally frustrated. Wasted my money on this system.

They said they'd send me a new float, but it's been a couple weeks and I haven't seen one yet.

The best I can do seems to be to put water in the bottom, then assemble it, but even that doesn't always work. Super frustrating.

I have used that type of waterer before. It also often leaked. I tossed it out. No sense in using something that is more trouble than it is worth.

Now I use an 11 gallon plastic tote with horizontal nipples. For winter I add a stock tank deicer as I live in Montana where it gets cold. Water gets filled and changed once a week. Water is always clean. Birds always have water. My first one lasted for 3 years.
This year I had to replace the tote as it was leaking.

You do not have to train your birds to use the nipples. Normally just putting the new nipple waterer in with the birds and removing all other sources of water will have them drinking within a couple hours. The nipples are red with metal. Chickens love to peck at red shiny things so they learn where the water is.
picture please??

I use the harris 5qt system and have no issues it's the classic fill and flip with one open spout. I thought about getting this one you have but if it has issues I may just keep using the smaller size. I don't mind the trek back and forth. Sorry you're having issues with the ez fill.
