Which is a LIE! I've been home all day. That jerk NEVER tried to deliver my eggs. He FRICKING drove past my house...

And when I tried to call the local office they wouldn't answer the phone!

Good plan. You might want to consider removing the turner completely at lockdown and adding a non slip shelf liner. It'll help with mess and leg issues.

Not yet but I've been on a conference call all morning. As soon as I get a break, I will check the mailbox. I have tried to call the post office several times but still no answer. If my eggs are not delivered today I will drive into the post office this afternoon and raise hell. Simply unacceptable....

Post office just delivered a package that was NOT my eggs. I stopped them and asked what the heck was going on. He said that they probably didn't deliver because of the weather. He did not have any other packages for me...so no eggs. So I'm going to have to drive down to the main branch and see if they have my eggs in the back. I'm so frustrated right now....

I had a few minutes between meetings so I jumped in the car and drove to the Post Office. They STILL can't find my package. He said I had TWO packages to be delivered yesterday. He was under the impression that the carrier had delivered one of the packages yesterday. I told him no packages were delivered. The oversized package was delivered this morning, but not the eggs. He said that they have been trying to reach the carrier who delivered yesterday and that individual has not returned their calls. They don't know where the package was placed at this point.... Omg....I am so livid. So not only did Alabama Silkies completely delete my order...but then attempted to "make it right" by fulfilling the order right away and including some extra special stuff....only to have the friggin' post office lose/steal my package. I just can't win.

I'm trying to wrap my head around what I need to do if the package is not found or if the eggs are no longer viable because of this issue. I'm assuming the post office would be liable because it is not AS fault that the post office messed up. The value I paid for the order was $75, but considering AS threw in some additional eggs and extra stuff to make up for their mistake, I don't know how to value that or prove it... Then there will be the uphill battle of getting the post office to pay for anything they screw up. I have a feeling they will just come back and say "you should have put insurance on it." First of all, that isn't even an option with AS, I don't think. Second, it is kind of stupid that I should have to pay extra to protect myself against their negligent behavior.

That’s been one my fears of ordering eggs one day in the future. I pick of chicks at the PO when they call usually 5:30am. Eggs are more expensive not to mention your anticipation while waiting. Maybe start making a timeline of events with who (name) you have spoken to and the time. If eggs aren’t found, surely the PO a department that handles a situation like this and could at least reimburse you. After all, they have admitted there was a second pkg for you!!
