Harris Farms Nurture Right 360 Incubator is AMAZING!

Here's that video. You can see the top installed backwards, and if you look closely (since you're looking at the back of the unit) you can see the scratching on the globe.

It's most definitely a used unit.
Weird that you were sold a used/open one. Mine has the dome top is like the last one you showed. I guess it's the newest model. I purchased from Amazon so I wouldn't have to leave the house. When TSC put theirs on sale, Amazon matched the price the very next day. Both offered free shipping.

Amazon currently shows them unavailable.

The sad thing is...I genuinely like them. Other than no handle lol. It's surely just bad luck here (two used units of three bought!) with all the good experience everyone else has...but man it's frustrating lol.

I wrote an email to someone named Beth at Manna Pro though. So we'll see.

I had to look up what GoVee was. Glad I did. Pretty cool idea. Are you happy with it? (the GoVee thermometer)

I have a Brinsea spot check which is accurate but I always have trouble every year when I must put in the battery. (The plate closing the battery up is fussy. Screws wear out plastic and it doesn't work unless tightly sealed.) This is my 2nd one because my 1st one had the same problem and I couldn't get it to work after 4-5 years.

I'm kind of happy, kind of not. Compared to the unit itself...it's wonderful. It's slow reacting though, and I'm still not 100% certain why the unit temp has no variance, but the GoVee will vary as much as three or so degrees.

Here's the GoVee in the new unit:

And here's the current readout:

By the readings this unit is the closest to the temp on it's display...but until I find a valid way to verify both therms...its a guess.

It's a pretty cool concept though, either way.

I also just went to check the temperature...since the GoVee is reading higher than the other unit...and yep, it's set to 100°F already, not 99.5°F.

It's most definitely a used unit.

How disappointing, I don't know if it's bad luck or what...I do have a small scratch on the unit that I ordered from tractor supply and had shipped to me but it wasn't something that bothered me enough to exchange it. Other than that, they were definitely new units. Could it be an issue with warehouse stock from the stores you're purchasing them from rather than the manufacturer? People buy incubators, use them, and return them often unfortunately. Many because they just want the newest model and not necessarily because there is anything wrong with the incubator. The third unit I knowingly purchased used because he wanted to get the new dome top model. :idunno Hopefully you'll have a good hatch regardless of the difficulties you've had finding the model you wanted!

I'm just trusting the built in readings of my NR360. Seems to be OK. Perhaps it's just stating the set target temp - not the actual.

My big DIY coolerbator requires a thermometer since everything is manual. The unit I put in it is fine for humidity but reads a temp of 102'F when the Brinsea is at 99.5 to100'F. It's sort of like the saying: "A man with one watch always knows the time, but the man with 2 watches is never sure." I've had 3 thermometers in there and all 3 read different. That's why I just trust the Brinsea.

I'm hopeful! But even if not it's not overly discouraging. This incubator mess is kind of a one time thing. No way I would have kept the 4250, but the rest of the shuffle was my choice...and certainly didn't help them. It'll work itself out though and I'll go forward from there 😁.

You're 150% right lol, and I should have done the same. The 4250 being so far off kind of had me thrown though.

We'll see how it goes!

Good news!

All of the Ameraucana look like this:

Of the Ayam Cemani...three seem similar, though not as well developed and obvious. Three have maaaaaaybe a red dot. But it's hard to tell. On some of both types it's really hard to discern an air pocket. I tried to draw them all...but some were impossible.

Anyhow...very good news, at least on one front.

Awesome! What day are they again? Also try candling the other way around to see the air pocket better.
