Harris Farms Nurture Right 360 Incubator is AMAZING!

That's a tough one, I don't remember testing mine against that low of a temperature. I do think it might struggle to hold temps. Maybe someone else will chime in. My incubators held their own in a room around 60-65°F but unless I'm forgetting, I don't recall anyone mentioning keeping it in a room that cold.
We heat via wood stove. When loaded and cranking it can hit 90, and overnight drop to 60 before the furnace kicks in if some one forgets to load it.

Got the incubator washed and set for a dry run. Opened all the vents and turned it on to dry out from washing. Its been running for 3hrs at this point.
I was going to leave it for a full 24hr but will it be harmed running This dry?
Also it makes a consistent low hum which I assume is the fan but just wanted some verification this is normal.

If your house temps fluctuate a lot day/night 30° not uncommon.

Can you clarify so that we're sure you're talking about a temperature swing of 30F and not the room temperature getting down to 30F?

I'm a newbie, but all the advice I was given boiled down to it being more important to keep the incubator in a room with a stable temperature and that it not be hit by either direct cold drafts or direct flow of heat.

So I put it into the laundry room, which has the air return but no HVAC vents, and made this shelter for it (wire against curious cats, towels and cardboard to provide a temperature/draft buffer).

Yes, the hum is normal and I always run mine dry after cleaning it. No harm done. :)

That's some serious curious cat prevention! lol

Yup 30° swing. I placed it inthe warmest most stable spot I have. Next to a fish tank even for hope of more RH. Current room temp near 80° this spot will swing prolly max of 15° depending on the state of the fire.

It's necessary.

Wraith is old and will always find the warmest place.

Zeus is smart enough to open all the dresser and cupboard doors that don't have a secure knob.

Peaches always perches on any shelf she can get to and will push books off if we don't leave her spot empty.

It's not *quite* like keeping raccoons out, but I had to think carefully. :D
