Harris Farms Nurture Right 360 Incubator is AMAZING!

All set up and ready if I have to move Unhatched eggs from my broody! Some of the thermometers I put in say 101, 100, and 98 degrees. Do you think it’ll be ok?

When you had the thermometers out of the incubator did they all match exactly? 101 is the only one that I don't like. 98-100 in different spots is ok because the turner rotates all the way around the incubator and makes up for the slightly hot or cold spots. The eggs never stay in those spots too long.

I'm not quite sure, I'll check.

I got the NR360. Set it up yesterday (first came broken so had to order another one). I am putting the eggs in today around 2pm. Well the humidity stays around 40% with the vent 1/2 open and I can get it up to maybe 45% with it 3/4 closed. I even closed it almost fully over night just to see if I could get it higher and got it to maybe 48 but that was it. Is it fine to keep it around the 40% or should I close it 3/4 of the way to get it closer to 45%? Any ideas on how to get it higher? Editing I think I figured out how to get it higher.... I didn't have enough water. OOPS! I took the whole thing apart to see how much water was in there (I was afraid of overflowing it) and it was only about 1/2 way full. so I added a bit more water and now it seems to be going up) so think I solved this part of it.

I have 3 other thermomemer/hygrometers in there. They all read right around the same humidity and the temp on all is about the same was what the incubator says but sometimes they may show around 99 is that ok? I had them outside of it for about a week and 2 of the 3 read about the same but the other was always off a bit but seemed if I switched spots a different one would be off or maybe I was thinking it was a different one. I am just trying to keep 2 that read the correct thing and hoping that is right.

What temps and humidity are ok for it to be and for it to fluctuate a bit from? Would love to know from experience the temp and humidity ranges though. :)

Yes the temp is ok, the turner goes all the way around the incubator so it will make up for any minor hot and cold spots.

To answer your question about you humidity, as you found, it holds a lot more water than it looks like, about 1/2 cup in side A. Also the eggs release moisture so the humidity will be higher once there are eggs inside the incubator as well.

Ventilation is important once the eggs are inside so I would always leave the vent open at least some and I actually choose to leave mine open all the way throughout incubation.

Some fluctuation is completely normal and nothing to worry about!

Good luck on your hatch!! :)

Thank you! I did read it needed to be open some just closed it last night to see what the humidity did. I opened it right back up this morning so I wouldn't forget it when I put the eggs in.

Got all my eggs set this morning. Temp and humidity held up like a dream over night. Temp is exact at 99.5 and humidity slightly fluctuating around 45. Have the vent 2/3 closed. I am not too worried about the humidity being exact, as this is the first hatch I have done that even has a humidity guage. My old brisnea didn't have one and did just fine refilling the pot once a day. This is my largest batch of eggs I have ever set, and the first ones form my heritage birds, so I am very excited. Only 20 and 1/2 more days!
