Harris Farms Nurture Right 360 Incubator is AMAZING!

I take out the B plug also, if I need to lower the humidity. Honestly I run the entire thing without it anyhow....but I know some don't, so that's always an option.
Good idea. I didn't think of that. Thanks!

How concerned are you guys with small fluctuations in humidity? Say...if it moves around from 42 to 48% in a 24 hour period? Something in the under 10% change range (days 1 to 17.)

This is what the actual fluctuations look like. I think they dumb down both the temperature and humidity displays so people don't over react lol.

So no...not worried. It's all about averages really. Over a few days time.

What days are your bators on?

Today is day 19...I only have one running.

That's very reassuring, thank you.
Are the red temp dips from when you opened and/or candled?

If you go to the 'month' picture...you'll see a lot of red spikes at the beginning (left). That's literally just how it ran (also my settings for alarm can be adjusted and can cause that...but if it's a huge dip it was the machine). The biggest dip was a power outage (until I rigged up a makeshift heat sink setup from 150°F containers of water lol). Towards the end, yes...just when I open it for candling. I mostly leave it alone except for that.

If you look here, you can see the big variances (I zoomed it in). The actual temperature swing was 3°F. It mostly lived above 99.3°F...and short periods of dropping don't bother me. A hen will do as much or more if she leaves the eggs at all. I honestly believe those drops may even be necessary, and possibly built into the program for the heater. Because I can't see any other reason for a 3°F variance...and both of my units have that towards the beginning.

Ok, that makes and sense, And once again, very reassuring.
I've been getting small fluctuations too. Nothing alarming and probably something most people would not notice, but I'm like all hovery right now.
And I have read that some people think the eggs should get a short cooling because, as you say, it mimics the hens time off the nest to eat, drink, and poop.

So this fancy tracking app thingy...I'm guessing you have another probe in there somewhere to send the info to your app, right? Where is your probe located? Is it down at egg level on the turner?
If so do you think that could account for the slight dips as it turns around the circle?
I've noticed some spots in the bator are warmer than others. For 2 days I had a digital thermometer inside during the test run and could see a few degree differences depending on where it was along the circular turn. Again, much like what would happen under a hen.

However I've got a few spots reading up to 101.3 at egg level. Not everywhere and only since the eggs were put in. The eggs turn every 60 minutes...should I be concerned about these "hot" spots?
Ti get extra readings now I'm using a digital cooking metal probe thermometer stuck through both vent holes. The round hole by the cord in the back and the adjustable vent on the front.
