After a fox killed my 2 muscovy ducks a few months ago

, we decided to adopt 2 african goslings.

They were hatched in an incubator 3 weeks ago. The flock they were bred from has a brown male and 6 females, 5 brown and a white one with blue eyes. There is also a female common goose left there from someone who no longer wanted her. The breeder reassured me that both will develop the hump on their foreheads and that she can tell apart the africans from the common geese from the first moment they hatch. Is that possible?

This is Harrold who probably came from the white african female

and this is Samantha from dark coloured african mum and dad

And here are a couple of pics of them both. They graze a lot in the day and they love to take showers in their small and shallow swimming pool.

There was a difference in size since they hatched, Harrold was the largest of the 7 hatchlings and Samantha was the smallest so that's how the breeder sexed them. Also she said something about the length of their beaks that the girls have a slightly shorter bill than the boys.

Any piece of advice is more than welcome!
