has any one else gotten shipped eggs in the new foam shippers?????

Actually, it's fairly easy. If you crack the egg open, and the innards are intact but there's no bull's eye, it's infertile and therefore the breeder. If you crack a dud open and the innards are scrambled, it's the PO. If you can see detached/ruptured air cells when you candle, it's the PO.

There's more factors involved than just if the egg is fertile or not. Diet is another factor that determines the egg's viability and if the chick can make it to hatch.

I have received 3 different shipments in foam. One seller sent 24 eggs for the price on 12. I have 16 chicks. Another set 12 eggs, only 4 made it to lockdown, the final shipment was 5 eggs, I had zero develop. All had blood rings at 7 days. I do not think I have much success with the foam. The eggs I have received in bubble wrap were far more successful. All of the eggs arrived intact by the way. My preference would not be the foam but it looks like a great idea.

Update on the orginal shippment!
We got 3 to hatch that were not deformed.
1 hatched out blind another had cross beak and died.
The chicks that hatched and lived pipped at the bottom of the egg
most of the eggs had cracks so small I did not see them, the eggs rotted.
