has anyone bought started pullets from Mcmurray hatchery?

has anyone bought started pullets from Mcmurray hatchery? I want to know if they lay good, and how many more weeks does it takes them to lay eggs? I will like to see pics =]

I have never bought them but I know someone who has. They are usually 16 weeks old and it can take any where from 1 week to a month before they start laying. Also - they are debeaked. They are disfigured and the beak will never grow back. You will have to keep deep feed pans so they can shovel/scoop their feed. They won't have as easy a time free ranging and foraging either as they won't have a sharp beak tip to snag their bugs and other prey.

wow I don't want debeaked hens! =[ I guess I will just keep my chicks till august to start laying lol I will try to find hens on the flea market.
