Well. I just fed her and it actually worked out well. I had warm water in 1 cup, food in another. I added water to her food and just took little scoops on my finger tip. She did great eating it off my finger tip. I gave bite of food, water, back and forth until she was done. Shes now sleeping like a log.You could try tube feeding, but learning how to do it on such a small one is tricky, and you would need to find a very small tube.
Okay, that's good. May I suggest that you start weighing her in the morning before she eats?Well. I just fed her and it actually worked out well. I had warm water in 1 cup, food in another. I had one earlier this year, though mine was not as bad as your duckling, and it recovered in 3-4 days I think.Sure, I can do that. Has anyone ever heard of a duckling that couldnt walk like this, them eventually learned to walk?
Ok. Same really. These wheels really stink. But....I attatched a strap across the top because boy, does she get excited. If you dont keep your hands right there at her, she could flip out, so strap helps a bit. Shes got the strength in her legs, shes got the spunk & drive to go.... just figuring out the upper joints where her legs meet her body. How's Joy doing in her walker today?
Honestly, I'm not sure. I couldnt go another month, then decide to let her go, ya know?! So.... we would just have to build and maneuver what we could, maybe? I really am just not sure. If I can find a lightweight material to make a walker out of.... we could do so much better. But with her being so small, it was tough. Will definately have to think on this and make some decisions and plans. Shes my baby!!! That's all I know right now.Bless her heart. She’s determined. If she ends up being handicapped permanently but is other wise healthy? Have you thought on this?
