Has anyone crossed these breeds?

RIRs and Red Broilers.
Wondering how that cross would be for meat and egg production?
Or, would it be best to stick with Read broilers period?

I was wondering what it would do if I crossed Black Copper Marans and Buff Orpingtons?

My Girls LOVE my BCM rooster and I'm thinking it'd be a neat mixture

They lay a purple tinted egg... would they lay a dark purple brown egg than?

You guys might want to take a peek at the breeds and genetics section. There are people over there talking about different crosses all the time. You might find somebody who's tried the same crosses you're wondering about. There's a ton of good info in that section.
