I ordered two month old chicks from Murray Mcmurray Hatchery and the arrived yesterday. Both of them are doing great so far, I can post pics if anyone wants!
I may get some from Northwood's Poultry also, but I'll probably wait until the spring or summer.
 
good luck on the chicks and yes i want to see the little chicks :) lol. im thinking about dropping by north woods to pick up a couple salmon favorelle, they are nice birds and the pinkish eggs will have my wife convinced lol

I guess they are about two months old, not one. They're still very cute! Haven't decided on names yet!
I know McMurray chicks probably aren't show quality but I was impressed with how fast they came and how well they where shipped. I will order from them again!
 
No experience with Murray McMurray here, but certainly heard wonderful things about them. :)

The chances of SQ poultry out of a hatchery are certainly low, since most don't usually breed selectively. It appears volume trumps adhering to the standard, in a lot of cases. We should probably be thankful most don't claim their birds are superior!

That said, Cackle has been known to offer (supposedly) show type stock. More specifically, Silver Laced Wyandottes and Old English Game bantams. :) Eagle Nest Poultry, a small local hatchery, sells EQ fowl. While they specialize in rare, exhibition quality bantams, high class standards, ducks, and geese are also available.
