has anyone else ever done this?!?! or am i really just crazy??

i'm preparing for "chick days" at tsc... i mean, i have decided that i will not be able to resist the tubs and tubs of newly hatched chicks in poor conditions at our local TSC... (our local TSC employees think that standing room only in a tub is good enough for chicks, hence many get trampled)

i want to build a coop dedicated to my TSC purchases! i think what i will do is try and save the chicks at TSC that i know in a day or two will have no chance of making it if they are not purchased and given some extra TLC...

and i know it will probably end in a lot of heartbreak, as many of them will not make it... but it's worth a try!

i will build it to hold about 16-18 chickens... every year i will add about 4 to this coop, and i will able to do this for at least the next 4-5 years!

any suggestions??

it's not a good idea sir,
you must fit the coop's area with the chickens, go to the "coop design" section and you'll find a great ideas

I think it's a great idea!! Those poor things NEED people like you! Even if a few don't survive, at least they will get some peace and love in their final moments. And you won't just be building a coop, you will be building a sanctuary.
