Has anyone else ever had a kitten nurse this long?

This is crazy but we have a mixed breed Belgian Shepard that at the time stayed in the house. When we brought our kitten home (probably about 6 weeks old) it started nursing the BS and she began producing milk!!! We let it go on for a few weeks, then decided enough was enough and made them stop. They are very close to this day, that was a couple years ago. I will have to say I have never seen anything like it.

how old is the oldest kitten

Jasmine, our old cat who was a stray used to let her kittens nurse until about 4 months old, then she shipped them off on their own.

the oldest kitten looks EXACTLY, and I do mean EXACTLY like my momma cat, Sicily

I have a couple cats who are 1-3 years old who still do this. Some cats just seem to nurse for some reason...a comfort thing. Mine will even nurse on themselves, lol.
