Has anyone else heard this?

I was told by a clerk when I was purchasing chicks a few weeks ago you can tell gender of little chicks with a simple trick. When you grab the chick in your palm, you flip your hand so the chick is belly up and if it tucks in it's feet is female, if it sticks it's legs out it's male. Anyone here ever heard that before. I'm skeptical. Pic for illustration.

I didn't think it could be that true, otherwise there wouldn't be so many posts about gendering chicks. I've been following another byc social media group for a decade and had never seen this mentioned.

There are many old wives tales for sexing chicks, many are dangerous too.
