Has anyone else noticed this?

You guys are pretty funny about the "family cloth" I have been laughing pretty good.

I get tp at costco too it last us like 5 months.

Make kale chips they are really good. Kale is $1.00 a bunch here and just season with a little bit of EVOO, sea salt, and pepper. Put in the oven on like 200 till crispy.

***off subject***

But a toilet paper memory I'll share. Many many years ago, we were just
starting out. No extra money for Christmas.

My dear wife took a roll of toilet paper, unrolled it and put a handwritten
note on every sheet. Just silly notes. Love notes, funny notes, jokes. Whatever
she could think of. Rolled it back up, wrapped it up.

I've never used it.

One of those silly things I've put away for a memory.

Not worth a dime to anybody but me.

( I value it enough that it's one of the things in the safety deposit box.)

Now THAT's a gift. I can't imagine how long it must have taken or the care that went into rolling it all back up proper.

My DH lost his job about the time of my B-day. So we started saving of course and not spending money on extras like gifts. But he had the kids make me a card. They took one of those fake credit cards you get in the mail and decorated it like a gift card for a "KAJILLION" dollars. So I put it in my wallet. No matter what happens I've got a KAJILLION dollars.

Boy I love this site. Where else do I get to NOT feel like a paranoid nutcase when I rant about the size of the toilet paper cardboard tube? Really it's just such a relief to know 1) I'm not the only one seeing these things and 2) I'm not the only one pizzed about it!!

So thanks for that ladies and gents... guess maybe understanding is the one thing that never decreases in value!

Quit making granola (about the only cereal I'd buy) and started making my own... same with bread, though I have trouble with slicing it thin enough for sandwich without it getting too thin and falling apart... stupid bread knife... trying the yogurt making thing but so far no dice... eh... little things here and there. Course the fact that I'm buying more organics, GMO-Free, hormone free, etc isn't helping the grocery bill go down either.
