once a chicken gets a taste of their own eggs they start to break them themselves, once your chicken gets into that habit its hard to get rid of. a way of getting rid of it though is to make 2 small holes at each end of the egg so you can then blow out the egg substance inside, then stuff mustard inside the egg and put it back in the nest box, take out all the freshly laid eggs straight away and replace with the mustard eggs. repeat this until the habit stops.
