I think I will have to watch it again...now that you reminded me about it!

My sister told me that the chicken with the knitting needles reminded her of ME! I can't remember the name of that one. Another reason to watch it again...

Well maybe I read more into it than just a movie---

Hidden meaning--- giving animals human emotions and qualities

Making the farmer/human the bad guy.

Sure it's just a movie, but how many nutts out their give the actors in soap operas, sitcoms, and crime drama series, the personnel qualities of their characters?

The people at Aardman Animations (Chicken Run, Wallace and Gromit, Flushed Away) are relentlessly creative. They aim to entertain, no more, and must never be taken seriously. No subtext, no take-home messages, you are meant to enter into their world of fantasy and absurdity and just have fun!

Compared to other examples of their work, Chicken Run is actually a bit slow-paced and short on comedy. Nick Park tries to pack as many gags into a picture as he possibly can; many are subtle ("it's a cling-on [Klingon], Captain" - line delivered by Mac [Scotty]), some are sight gags that you'd almost have to be an insider to catch. These guys have a hard time putting any movie "in the can," they tweak and fiddle and re-write almost up to the moment of release. Considering that they are working with stop-action and computer animation, that gets expensive, but it works for them. Maybe they are a bit of an acquired taste, but I am a huge fan of Aardman!
