It's not too uncommon to have vaults that large in lines where vaulting is prevalent. It will be more vulnerable to neurological damage.

So if a vault is actually a brain "bulge" with no skull, why are breeders looking for it? If it was any other animal, the worry about brain damage would be the first thought. Just my two cents.

Some breeders breed for vaults because they can give better rise to a crest, especially in the males.

I stared at that picture a very long time trying to figure it out. It was like looking at an ultrasound without the doctor helping me by pointing to the head, eyes, beak.... I know everyone else thinks it is cute. I think it looks like it needs to go back in the egg. Shhh! Did I really say that?

I really hope you post pictures once it gets fluffy! I promise that I will love it then....
