Has anyone ever trained their chickens?

There's a video on youtube of a guy training chickens. Interesting!

I've trained my chickens to come running when I open the back door, to jiggle the cat door when they want into the house, and to hide behind the litter boxes when they don't want to leave the house.

Let's see:
Mine know the word, "no", "down" "up" and "gentle"
Obelisk can hear a take out bag from a mile away and knows that she'll get some if she doesn't beg.

If you say, "Eyeballs" she knows that she's getting grapes. Try yelling THAT across the yard to get her in the house.

I think most of the time they train us, though.

I've been having a blast with my 3 week old Ameraucana chicks. Weather permitting, I take them outside for play time most days. Of course they LOVE to peck and scratch and play rugby with bits of stuff. I call "here chick chick chick" and they follow along wherever I go. If I get a few feet away from them and then call, they come running and flying. Sometimes, though, they get busy and don't come, so I catch their attention by giving an alarm call and they instantly scatter and hide without a sound. Then when I call them out from hiding they come running to me and they all want to be in my lap. They hang out with me very well for awhile after that. I love my chickies!!!

My chickens wait by the sliding back door and peer between the curtains if I'm running late. I even get knock, knock, peck if I'm really running late. They know when I pull in the driveway. They know if i pick up anything that looks like a scoop there is a possibility of food. They know how to scatter like roaches if a net is in hand. ha Ha
