Has anyone ever used a rabbit's cage?

Out of the 12 we picked up on the farm, 8 were fertilized. The ducks are free-range and so they breed together. Mostly mallard.

Yeah sure, will do 🤗!

...There's one that seems as though it's a quitter but I'm not so sure because it's still moving. Do you know more about this? I posted a pic of the egg on another thread: Thread 'Duck egg, strange spots - but moving!' https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/duck-egg-strange-spots-but-moving.1532941/

Maybe you have an idea?
That’s exciting, can’t wait to see them!

I checked out your other post that is a little scary looking. I agree and would have considered it a quitter just looking at it but if it’s still moving it’s still alive! Are you sure it’s actually moving and not just from you moving the egg? If it’s got legit movement I would keep it in there and just keep an eye on it. I’ve never had an egg look like that so I’m not much help!

Yeah... I must have looked at it for like 1 full minute. It was moving. I marked it, I'll keep checking. They recommend removing bad eggs right?.. it's hard to just get rid of, I want to be sure.

That cage is going to be too small pretty quickly for ducks. The smallest amount of ducklings I have raised was 2, and I raised them in a similar size cage, but they out grew it in about 3 weeks. Mine spent a lot of time outdoors. The more ducks you have, the faster they outgrow that size cage. Ducks are super messy, so they need a bit of space.

Oh, thanks for your advice. I am bringing them to the farm coops when they are 6-7 weeks however!

Yes you should remove bad eggs, they could explode. I’ve heard it’s nasty! And can also contaminate all the other eggs. But I have a hard time pulling them out too until I know for sure it’s no longer living.
