Has anyone ever used elector psp for leg mites?

Luckily I have never had to deal with it on my birds yet. My neighbor's cock bird had leg mites and at the time I used Ivermectin on his legs. Didn't know about using Elector PSP at the time. I have always used Permethrin for pests on my birds prior. I still do because it coasts way less.

Wow, turns out I had six hens with scaly leg mites. What a time saver to treat them at the same time (separate 10 minute soakings) with one gallon of solution of Elector PSP and water. No more back of my mind (and putting off) soakings with Epsom salt and water. Big relief all the way around. Thanks again!

Thanks for responding. Already had an expensive bottle of PSP. I did spray their nest boxes and coops with Horse and Stable, a permethrin based spray.

I have used that also.

You can resoak in the PSP in about 10 days? I am not sure scaly leg mites ever go away completely. Maybe that’s just my experience. Good luck!
I became overwhelmed with taking care of my flock after adding a rooster with bumble foot & mites. Because of all the time & money I've spent and him still not being well I decided to cull him. Nothings harder than giving up on one after fighting so hard .
