I'm just curious. I have a still air incubator and the temps are as high as 101 is certain areas and as low as 98 in others. will the eggs in the warmer areas hatch (or pip) on day 15? or will they all hatch together? usually in my forced air incubator i have it at 99.8 and it took them from late day 16 to early day 17 to hatch.

Button quail only take about 16 days to hatch. When I used a still air they always hatched on day 15.

Quote:is it possible that I will have a staggered hatch? some on day 15 some on day 16 and 17? They were incubated at 99.5 in general (give or take half a degree in some areas)
Also they were cooled for 4 hours when they were 3 days old because of power (the incubator got to 70 degrees during that time, but they were fine. I candled all 8 before lockdown and they all looked healthy) Also, they were cooled for 2 hours after having to take a trip to grandma's house. the incubator got to only 90. would all this affect their hatch date??
