Has anyone had a chicken lose an eye? Does a blurry eye mean no sight?

My BO was attacked by a dog and it bit her face. The day of the attack, her face appeared messed up, but both pupils looked normal. She hasn't opened her right eye much since it happened and now, when she does, her pupil appears blurry. Does anyone know if this means she's lost her sight in her eye or is this a result of having it closed so much? If you have had a chicken go blind in one eye, please tell me if it affected her ability to eat and whatnot. I will throw food to her left and she'll see it with her left eye, but then can't find the food when she looks straight at it. Anyway, would appreciate anyone's experience. Thanks!!

We have Popeye the chicken..He was born with issues but he wanted to live so we helped him.One issue was an eye was bulging and it popped a few days later..now it's completely healed over.He is no worse for it.He does everything all the other chickens do but he tilts his head more so he can see with his one eye. He's not allowed to free range but has a huge fenced pasture to enjoy. He still enjoys his life every day.
Not sure about the cloudy that could be an infection behind it or loss of vision. She will adapt fine

I don't know for sure, but I would think it means she lost her eye. But she should still be fine. I have a duck that lost an eye as a baby, it turns in circles a lot to get the full scope of its surroundings, plus it's very easy to sneak up on (provided it's buddies aren't right there), but other than that, it's just fine.

I have had chickens with cloudy eye caused by infection. Used the eye ointment for a few days and wiped eye gunk out with baby wipes..
The eye gradually cleared up and she could see again.

I also have a one eyed roo and he has adapted quite well. He turns head slightly and seems to see what is going on in front of him. no problems eating or drinking. good luck!
