Has anyone had pekins that sat on their eggs?

Funny story alert! I had 4 muscory hens, and one mamma pekin with no husband. The muscovies went broody, and it was catching, so Jamima the Pekin did too.

Only Jamima had no eggs cause she was old. So she was sitting on rocks. And what a good mamma she was to those rocks! Finally I had compassion on her, and gave her some of the muscovy eggs, which she was thrilled with, and happily raised them as her own.

She was the best mamma of them all!

Well, at the time my only females were pekins, but my males were F&W Runners and a Blue Swedish. Not a single duckling came out yellow though! I've got photos around here somewhere.

My male Pekin, Doodle made a next and started laying eggs, so I guess he's a she! She's also sitting on her eggs, so we'll see. I also assume they will be mixed as well, since I only have 1 Rouen and 1 Black bibbed, Crested mix male now. OMGosh...

I have a Pekin hen sitting on 10 eggs right now.
There may be more but I counted at least 10.
Potential hatch date around Sept. 6. We will see what happens.
