Has anyone here ever had a parasite before?

I took Parmelia Lichen tincture from the herbalist. The black walnut and traditional treatment combinations weren't safe for nursing or pregnancy, and I am nursing my little one and also waiting and waiting and waiting for two pink lines on a pregnancy test. I had a miscarriage in January and I wonder if the parasite load had anything to do with it.

I don't think I have worms but they sure creep me out, what an awful experience! How would one know? Can people have worms and not know about it?

On a side note ringworm is not a parasite it is a fungus.

I think you'll know because you'll feel awful. I had this constant feeling like I was going to have diarrhea any second...for 7 years! lol. I also lost weight, and had dry skin that wouldn't go away. Prior to this I was 100% healthy!

I'm blaming it on those fried chicken intestines I ate in Mexico.

Just so ya'll know, "Ringworm" isn't a worm at all. It's acutally caused by a fungus/mold. Fastest thing to cure it is bleach. Just a dab, dries it out. Or you can use the antifungal cream used for athletes foot and crotch rot

My goodness. Thank heavens they're all gone now!! Man, that is just awful! I wonder how many people diagnosed with IBS actually have parasites? I'll remember this for sure if I ever have any problems!

Fried chicken intestines?!

In my defense, I didn't understand the Spanish for "fried chicken intestines" and so I ate them to be polite. I can't believe I am admitting this, but they were kind of good.

But knowing what they were, I will never eat them again!

An article I read said 40% of women diagnosed with IBS actually have parasites. That was what made me check into the symptoms further.

Good article, who knew so many women have parasites? 40%!!

And thats not counting the men, either, wow I didn't know they were so common. Makes me not want to eat out ever again.

Don't feel bad about the chicken intestine, I ate fried roadkill squirrel that I was told was chicken. I found out a while later that it was in fact roadkill squirrel. The person who fed it to me defended herself by saying it was fresh roadkill that she herself had just hit, but that certainly doesn't make it any better.

And it tasted like chicken.
