Has anyone here heard of the Hennie line of Game chicken?

I looked at your website picture. He doesn't look like any Hennie Game I ever saw. For one thing Hennies are large fowl not bantams.
A friend of mine raises both Golden Sebright Bantams & Black OEGBs. He had an accidental mating of these 2 breeds once & the offspring looked just like your bird.

Thank you for your post. At the time of the photos, they were young. Not even in production yet. The rooster matured out to be almost as tall as a leghorn. and the hens are now different sizes. although not as heavy as some of the larger types like barred rock, they are tall and leggy. just not heavy bodied. When I took the photos for the website they were about three months old. The rooster was just old enough to begin a crackly crow. I was just curious about the breeds that these were supposed to be, as they were a gift from a Cuban man if Miami. They are agressive to each other but very sweet and accepting of people. I recently used a hen and rooster for a petting farm and they were the hit! The rooster sat on the fence, let everyone pet him and hold him and crowed when there there was a lull in traffic tas if to draw attention of the kids to come over and pet him. It was quite amusing!

I was under the impression from other answers to an ealier posing of the question that they were of the Bantum group. I now stand corrected. The rooster that is on the website was so desired in Miami for fighting that my freind turned down $2,500.00 for him. He had no desire for Congo to be fought and used for that so to keep him from being stolen, he brought him to me, a three hour drive away to protect him.

have had many people contact me that wish to purchase him and have resisted all offers. Unfortunately, my well meaning ex put out ant bait near the pens and becouse Congo was so used to being hand fed, he injested it and died. It was a very sad day. But we did have several broods hatching from him and have kept several from him to keep the line around.

If you take your offer to the Ultimate Fowl Forum, you should get much interrest and probably some lucrative offers. Real Hennies are very much sought after and getting more rare. Good luck.......Pop

I have tried to register for this site and they never have let me join, I tried several times and I used different emails but never got a reply from any mods. I dont know if its a dead site or if they just arent letting new people join or what. Idk maybe there just singling me out but it sucks.

I had the same experience. Multiple tries and much frustration over a long period of time. I think their computer has a period. Put it aside and try again later. Now that you mention it, I`m gonna email Cuda and alert him to the problem. Good luck to us both........Pop

its been awhile id say 2yrs since ive been on but i breed hennie gamefowl for show only and they are beutifull birds if raised around other rooster u need not worry the dominant male will quickly establish his rank and the others will soon back off and show respect.

Hmmm, I'd like to hear something about the ages of these "gamefowl hennies" that you raise around the dominant male. Been my experience that the older mature cock can keep peace until the young studs are about 7-8 months old, then they become unmanageable and must be penned alone. Hennies have a reputation of being very aggressive and game, but like many varieties, or bloodlines, the gameness is being lost due to show breeding. This is what has happened to Sumatras. They are still somewhat aggressive, but most strains are no longer "game". Please fill me in on your Hennies........Pop
