Has anyone made a waterer with the 'chicken nipples'?

HI, I've had mine for a year now and I LOVE them. Clean water all t he time! I hang 2 of them outside the coop in the shade. I cut a "flap" into the lid, just big enough for the hose to fit in, that way I don't have to take the lid off to refill them. I also put a heavy plastic sack over them, about half way down the bucket, to keep the rain water and dirt out...them silly girls try to sit on them and get them all dirty. I use the heavy bags that the sunflower seeds come in...works great, I cut the bottom off the bag to fit the bucket and cut a hole in the middle of the top of the bag, and poke the s-hook up through before I hang it on the hook. I clean them about once a month, and to do that I un hook them and set them on an upside down plastic milk crate, making sure the nipples fit into the holes so they don't get damaged.

I just bought some of these and cannot wait to get them going. We don't have electricity/water running at the chicken end of the property and hauling water daily SUCKS. LOL
I am installing two buckets for our babies.
