I agree! It seems to me the change that I am seeing is that people cant take another point of view to thier thread(if its not what THEY want to hear) that they put up for thousands to see and comment on...

If me, myself is classified by being rude by saying the 8week old layer is fake, im sorry and its my fault. But seriously... alot of people have caught them in their own lie...cracking the egg open and then having the picture with the 2 eggs, after saying they cracked it open.

Thats the first thread where I have been "mean" but it is just cause I do not like liers....

Anyway, I've been amazed at how some people get so worked up. I come on here expecting different views on things. Whether I like some body's opinion or not, we're all entitled to have one, and I simply don't take it personally if someone disagrees with what I believe, blah blah blah

Sometimes people can't help but take things to heart, and "arguments" will inevitably ensue...

ok here's my 2 cents. as you can see i do not post much--prefer to lurk and learn. actually have been around since ezboard, there may be some here longer than that. there has definilty been a change in the board. generally, the winter months are busy and then a slow down in the spring, then a rise in members as new chicks are ordered and enablers are enabled. summer would slow a bit as everyone would be outside and not parked in front of the screen. now it is busy year round, and yes there are alot of new people, seems to be quite a few younger people--which is great. and people seem to be more "outspoken". and yep more bashing,more rudness and more ugliness. is it a reflection of our current times? or is just the dern heat?

i don't think there is much of anything that could run me away from here, there really is something for everyone .

I think the rudeness - or outspokeness - is a sign of the times. Watch television news. People interrupt & correct eachother. That is BAD. However, i must say that I feel that when people ask "Is this bad" or "what would you do?" they should brace themselves for some straight shootin'.

Some people are just direct, and when posting in a forum all that is communicated is the words. You are unable to read body language or have eye contact and I feel those things are a big part of social interaction. Some people read to much into a post or don't know how to agree to disagree. My most recent experience with this was in a text message I sent to my dh. I was joking with him and he called me and wanted to know what my problem was. When I reread the text I sent him It did not have the tone that I intended it to have. As for the rule breaking well I broke one the other day and had my post removed and It was because I failed to read all of the rules and what I thought was acceptable very well could of offended someone. I was so embarassed and sent a pm to the mod to apoligize. I guess my point is there are 2 sides to every story, I am thankful for the mods just glad I am not one of them and I love this forum. I hope I didn't just kill this thread.

I actually think it was a lot ruder last fall. Now it mostly revolves around politics and predators. Honestly I kinda like watching the fights. Must be the voyeur in me.

I'm old enough to not let it bother me too much if some anonymous person on the internet is critical, comes with the territory.
I like most of the new people, I do feel sorry when brand new members get ignored. So often 1st or 2nd posts are desperate people asking for help. I can't usually help much but I do a search and try to link them up with some info; and I do suggest search. Hope it's not coming off as rude. I think maybe new people might not know about it. I lurked for a few months before I realized I could scroll down.
