Has anyone raised pill bugs for your chickens?

How about safety?

I'm starting a worm farm but I'm worried about parasites... The rolly pollys thrive around here and my girls gobble them up when they get the chance.
Are you doing this and how's it going?

Living in the west coast rainforest, we don't raise pill bugs, we simply tolerate them.
I would think that any pile of rotting moist wood bits would be an instant incubation site for them.
If freezing is a problem find a sheltered spot and add lots of humus and rotting organic matter to provide natural warmth.
Alternately you could harvest and freeze them while plentiful and offer them up during the winter.
