Has anyone saved a harvest mouse?

I'd find a better vet that isn't interested in only taking your money.

My vet has helped me with with every thing I've ever needed help with. And my dogs have been seen by other vets an they have always come away with perfect bills of health. Thank you.

I know they would pull my wildlife rehab permit if they found me mistreating any of my animals.

Okay.... I have never said you where wrong. I just trust my vets more than the person I've never meet who followed studies. Even if you did studies I would still trust my vets more.

Well we don't know you from a hill of beans but do your own research and find out your vets are lying to you. It's very well scientifically documented about animals and cows milk.

Don't ever give any animal cow milk, unless its a cow.

Not true. Lots of animals do well on cow milk. However, baby mice, rabbits, kittens and puppies are not among them. They need a milk that is much more nutrient dense. In a pinch you can feed evaporated milk until you can get something else.

Swine is one of the few animals it's safe to feed cows milk.

I imagine that’s because they’re somewhat similar to cows albeit distantly related, but far closer than mice or carnivores.

Carnivores (cats, dogs, ferrets) and birds (milk production is one of the defining characteristics of a mammal) will not digest the lactose among many other things, their digestive systems being adapted to totally different foods and nutrients. Regardless of that I have to agree that the cow’s milk is a risky idea for this situation at best. While diarrhea from being given milk won’t kill a human or a duck or a cat, remember the OP is talking about a baby mouse. So this milk will be its full diet, which is not true of your pets which have been “fine” on milk. Safe bet would be to follow chickentrains advice.
