Has anyone seen their hen lay an egg?

I watched one of my girls lay! I couldn't believe it just popped out, i thought it would be more like a baby, going in and out a bit before making it fully out!

When I was a kid and didn't have to work for a living; I could spend a lot more time in the pens in the mornings and caught quite a few eggs in my hand. If you have kids and hens who trust you, you might want to let them try it. It is a unique experience to say the least...especially for a kid.
