Buddy is a 5 or 6 year old red sexlink. About 3 days ago I noticed she wasn’t acting normal (lethargic, just standing still) and day before yesterday she hadn’t come off the roost by 11am so I knew she needed to come inside. I’m wondering if anyone has seen anything like this before. (Vid being posted.. hopefully..haven’t done this before)
I have to offer her water as she doesn’t go to it on her own… I’m also putting food directly in front of her as she seems disoriented when picking at her food.. kind of plays with it and doesn’t always swallow it either. I’ve force fed her some scrambled eggs, given 2 mls 10PPM nano silver, 200mgs of selenium (one time boost and will lower to 50mgs daily), 3mls of Rooster Booster Poultry Cell, a pinch of Electrovite Powder in her water as well as homemade probiotics made with brown rice fermented in molasses water & Himalayan salt. I also gave her 3 drops of full spectrum cannabis oil & 3 drops of black seed oil. Not sure if this is a head injury, the start of wry neck or if it’s just her time💔
If anyone recognizes what’s going on here would really appreciate

First of all, you risk overloading her system and making what ails her worse with possibly toxic stuff. She's a chicken, not a human that can handle these sorts of supplements.

You don't mention what her poop looks like. Is it normal or is it very watery with mucous? Also, is she currently laying? Has she had any egg quality issues? These are bits of very important information that can point us in a direction that can tell us what treatments to try.

She has been laying sporadically for about a year now. Sometimes pretty thinned shells which I assumed was normal due to age. Was speaking with roommate and realized she may even be 7 now. Her poop was been a bit runny last week… in the last 4 days diarrhea more watery then with mucus
Last night by around 10:30pm the head movement had stopped and she seemed a bit more co ordinated but this morning before dosing it has started again.
She seems to be light sensitive… when I try to move her around or to her food or water she stiffens up and splays her feet. Almost maybe like she’s experiencing vertigo?
The drops of oil were to bring inflammation down in case she hit the window in the coop as her body movements reminded me of wild birds I’ve kept quiet after hitting a window. Nano silver was just in case of infection.
I’ve been using these holistic things to save animals for 15 years now without issue so far🤞
This morning her poop is a bit less runny. I will try to post a pic next plop
Thank you for your time and consideration ❤️

Agreed. You can't treat what you don't know. Diagnose first, then treat that.
Without bloodwork from a lab or X-rays not too sure how this would be actually diagnosed… which was why I was reaching out to others who may have seen the same thing with their birds.
The things I chose to treat for were wry neck (re probiotics vitamins & selenium which should never hurt) or head injury (oils-again which should never hurt) and in case of infection the nano silver (which is used in huge poultry facilities as antibiotics which again shouldn’t hurt) as all I can do is guess right now and I’m not into losing my bird if I can help it
Hoping if others have seen anything like this I can narrow down the treatment plan
I do appreciate your concern though and am thankful for your time/consideration ❤️

Since she's been laying and she's an aging hen, I would suspect that she has an egg backed up inside her or she has reproductive cancer. This time of year, old layers can have problems as molt is undermining health. Shell-less eggs can be an issue and they often get stuck.

The first we can try to treat. The other would be her end. Give her a calcium citrate tablet whole directly into her beak. If it's an egg that has her feeling sick, the calcium will stimulate contractions to push out whatever form of egg she may have stuck.

I did feel her bottom.. shes not swollen but just in case it’s farther up I will give it a try!!
Would being egg bound cause head movement like that?

Reproductive cancer can be treated with ivermectin and fenbendazole for cancer cell apoptosis… as well cannabis & black seed oil have anti cancer properties which is why I figured anti inflammatory & anti cancer in case🤞

x2!!!
Also, is she emptying her crop? Abdomen 'sloshy'? It's more likely a serious health issue you can't fix, not something that adding 'magic suppliments' will help.
Mary
Her crop is empty as she isn’t eating unless I force her. Her crop then empties like normal. Her physical body feels normal. She is still a healthy weight
