Has anyone shipped eggs internationally before?

I'm curious if this is even possible- I've seen a few places where people say they have but am skeptical.....and before I go researching import regulations, etc- I want to know if it would even work

If they are being imported here, then I have heard it is very expensive $1000+

ETA- also there is a ban on many countries
