Has anyone started their incubating fetish with geese?

I have never hatched out anything.....thought about doing ducks, but have never done it. Now, I am thinking of doing geese. Is it dumb to start with geese?

I found some American Geese eggs from Worth It Farms.....anyone have any experience with them?

I wish I could find some days olds here in Utah..........

its not a dumb idea to hatch out geese, but from previous threads i have heard that they are a harder breed to hatch. Someone with more experience might need to pop in

BayyJayy, if you have never hatched anything start less expensive for first eggs. Chicken eggs are very easy to hatch, and will help you learn about your incubator. If you don't want chickens, then start with a less expensive duck breed like Pekin or Rouen. Geese are not impossible, but cost more, require more attention and shouldn't be an egg you learn how to operate an incubator with.
