Just curious. Has anyone tried giving niacin supplement to Cornish Cross? No chicken food has enough niacin for anything but normally growing chickens. All other poultry must have more than is present in commercial chicken feed. Maybe with the accelerated growth, the Cornish Cross aren't getting enough of it.
I've seen Cornish Cross with leg issues (and bought a few from the market) where the bird is bow legged. Well, that can be caused by niacin deficiency.
I never had leg issues with my Cornish X, but mine were allowed out to scratch and eat bugs. Free ranging birds can find food sources that contain niacin.
