I was trying to come up with an idea for a small food dispenser in the coop that wouldn't take up alot of room (i'm expecting some mornings to run late and they won't get let out of the coop at the normal time).

Since i wouldn't need it to hold a ton of food, i was thinking a rabbit food dispenser that hangs on the wall might work out well. Has anyone ever tried using one of these ?

I haven't, but I saw an idea on here that I might try. they used pvc pipe as a self feeder. It held quite a bit of food, and had a cap on top to keep the moisture and critters out. I imagine you could mount it wherever you want and could make the pipe as big in diameter and length that would suit your needs.love the cool ideas that people post on BYC!

I like the idea. Its got me thinking now. THANKS

you're welcome. I grew up raising rabbits and thats what made me think of it!

Let me know if you think of anything along the same lines for water...... a rabbit feeder would rust with water in it....
