Has anyone used a Rabbit Water Bottle?

I use them for my adult birds overnight in the coop and have used them for about a year with no problems. During the day i put out a small dish. They use it fine but only one can use it at a time so you have to be very careful making sure they are all getting water and even put up several.

we used thin wire and screwed it into the wood on both ends and hang the waterer from it.

I wanted to add a rabbit water bottle like you did for the nighttime coop, but they are grown and NOT interested in even pecking to see what it is... I try to show them how it works, and they just look at it and wander away... it's shiny, it's something new to peck... what gives? Any suggestions to get these girls to try it? I was hoping to have it upstairs in the night coop and the big waterer in the day run...

In egg factories they put a long water trough on the outside of the cage. The hen can put her neck through to get a drink of water but she can't poo in it. This was my problem, on of my girls likes to perch on top of the water dish and let fly. If the rabbit bottle doesn't work I think I'm going to try that.

I've had a miserable time with our waterer too. It's one of the little red and white ones and at first it was a pain to because it was always full of poop, then it was leaking and full of poop so I added a dish under it and that stopped the leaking. Now I had two poppy wet gross dishes to clean, tried flipping the dish over and raising the waterer up and that really helped but, now the little boogers have started doing this flying kung foo chicken act and have been kicking it over... They've already dumped it 3 times today everything is soaked and I have to do a total clean up of the brooder... If I can switch them to a rabbit bottle the little red/white waterer is DONE!
