So, it finally happened - my 23- week cockerels started fighting for real yesterday. My Bresse cockerel was the instigator, and got his ass handed to him yesterday and again today. He has a huge comb and long wattles, (very high-T boy lol) my Wyandotte just grabbed onto him every time they started up. I think my Bresse finally got the message, and they’ve stopped fighting…
Anyway, lots of dramatics and blood everywhere, but looks like just scratches and cuts on the comb and wattles. Does anyone here have experience using Octenisept on chicken wounds? I think it’s mainly a European product, and I can’t find much info about using it for birds/chickens. It’s what I have on hand until I can get in to see the livestock vet.
Pic of my poor busted boy, Camembert.
